Day 2 is forecast to be cloudy, with the potential for more thunderstorms in the area. Sunday’s Day 3, often considered the “moving day” in a Test match, could also witness rain early in the morning, followed by cloudy skies for the remainder of the day.

The good news for the cricket fans and everyone involved in this test match is that the last two days of this game, Monday and Tuesday, are forecasted to receive sunshine and there is a much lower threat of rain on these two days compared to the first three days.

IND vs BAN 2nd Test highlights

Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first after the start was delayed by an hour due to a wet outfield caused by the overnight rain. Indian seamers – Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj – got the ball to move both ways and kept the Bangladesh openers – Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam – guessing all the way before Rohit even tried Ravichandran Ashwin to break the opening partnership.

Akash Deep came in as the second change bowler and removed both Bangladesh openers in a matter of four overs. Zakir Hasan didn’t trouble the scorers despite facing 24 balls, while Shadman (24 off 36) was trapped in front, which went in India’s favour only after a brilliant review.

Mominul continued his fight and scored 40 off 81 balls, while Mushfiqur Rahim was batting 6 off 13 balls before the play was interrupted by bad light and rain. It has been raining heavily, and the whole ground has been covered. Rain allowed only 9 overs of play in the post-lunch session, with Bangladesh scoring 33 runs and losing one wicket.
