India cricket team skipper Jasprit Bumrah led from the front as he dismantled the Australian top-order in IND vs AUS 1st Test in Perth. Opting to bat first, India were bundled out for just 150 runs in the 1st innings as Pat Cummins and co. wrapped up the Indian innings within two sessions. Bumrah ensured that India got off to a dream start, bagging three wickets within the first seven overs to put the hosts on the backfoot.
Jasprit Bumrah breathes fire on Aussies in IND vs AUS 1st Test
Bumrah’s first victim was debutant opener Nathan McSweeney (13) as the batter was trapped for an LBW after surviving just 12 deliveries in the 2nd over. He went on to pick two consecutive wickets in the 7th over, sending Usman Khawaja (8) and Steve Smith (0) packing. Australia were reduced to three wickets in very quick time, giving some much-needed momentum for India. Bumrah narrowly missed out on a hat-trick as Travis Head managed to survive Bumrah’s final delivery of the 7th over.
