Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has featured some of the most iconic players in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, including legends like Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, and AB de Villiers. Despite their exceptional batting talent, the franchise has occasionally struggled with team selection. A key point of interest is RCB’s use of the Right to Match (RTM) card. Let’s revisit the last instance RCB utilized the RTM card and the player they secured with it.

The RTM card was last used during the IPL 2018 mega auction but was removed from the following editions. However, it has made a comeback for the upcoming IPL 2025 auction. RCB now has the opportunity to use the RTM card for a few key players they might want to retain at a lower price, such as Faf du Plessis or Glenn Maxwell.
