In what should have been close fight between Pakistan and England in the final Test, the hosts have made it rather one-sided now. On the second day of the third Test between PAK and ENG in Rawalpindi, the Shan Masood-led side are 53 runs ahead still, with England 24/3, reeling in reply. And once again, Sajid Khan, and Noman Ali are to credit for the massive advantage the Pakistanis have.

After England were bundled out for 267 on the first day itself, Pakistan didn’t look like they would surpass the visitors’ score. In fact, at one stage they were 177/7, 90 runs adrift from England. But from there on, first Saud Shakeel paired with Noman Ali (45), and the with Sajid Khan (48), to take them to 344. In that, the southpaw managed to reach his fourth Test ton as well. Taking no credit away from him, it was largely up to, how the tail batted with him, and the spin twins responded well.

Having taken 32 wickets together in the series, the duo added 93 crucial runs to Pakistan’s total, to give them a lead of 77, which really changed the course of the match.
