Rohit Sharma and co. are gearing up for the IND vs NZ 3rd Test in Mumbai which is scheduled to get underway from November 1. India are down 0-2 in the series, having suffered consecutive losses in Bengaluru and Pune. India will be eyeing redemption in the third and final Test which will be held at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai.

India’s chances of qualifying for the World Test Championship (WTC) final for the third consecutive time is at stake in the 3rd Test in Mumbai. The Men in Blue were taken by surprise, first in Bengaluru and then in Pune by a fighting unit of Kiwis. While the IND vs NZ 3rd Test is a must-win for India in terms of making to Lord’s in 2025, Rohit Sharma and co. will also aim to redeem themselves with a consolation win that cost India their first series at home in 12 years.

While Rishabh Pant is an obvious inclusion in the XI barring any injury, the clouds of aspersions are once again cast upon Sarfaraz Khan who took KL Rahul’s place in Pune. Washington Sundar is expected to retain his spot alongside Ashwin and Jadeja. Siraj and Bumrah are expected to comprise of the pace department, given that India’s assistant coach Abhishek Nayar confirmed that Harshit Rana wasn’t added to the squad for the 3rd Test.
