ظهر نابي لأول مرة في ODI في عام 2009. اللاعب متعدد المستويات هو ثاني أعلى مسجل للويكيت وهداف في أفغانستان في هذا التنسيق.
Afghanistan legend Mohammad Nabi will retire from ODI cricket after the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The all-rounder has been representing his nation in the 50-over format for the last 15 years and has decided he’ll call time on his ODI career next year. Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) chief executive Naseeb Khan has revealed that Nabi informed him about the decision, and they gleefully accepted.
One can make the argument that no single player in their history has carried their nation as Nabi did for Afghanistan. He’s taken them from playing Fiji, Maldives and Japan to having wins over England and Pakistan in the ODI World Cup. The all-rounder also holds the record for being involved in victories against the most number of teams (45).
“Yes, Nabi is retiring from ODIs after the Champions Trophy and he informed the board about his desire. He told me few months back that he wants to end his ODI career after the Champions Trophy and we welcome his decision. After the Champions Trophy, what I understand is that, he is expected to continue his T20 career, and that is the plan until now,” Naseeb told Cricbuzz.
